Joshua Tree

I was just looking through some images I took when my dad and I hiked in Joshua Tree back in April. It was the first time either of us had been to Joshua Tree and we were both quite pleasantly surprised with the park. It turned out to be more beautiful than either of us had imagined, as I hope is demonstrated with the images shown here.
The first photo is of a Joshua tree. I had some images that showed huge groves of these trees, but liked the way this image sort of showcased this unusual specimen.
The second image is of an unknown (at least to me) plant, but I was amazed at how closely it resembles a silversword. Silverswords are found only on Haleakala, here on Maui.
The last image I took with a fish eye lens. I kind of like how it gives a feeling of being at the edge of the world...or maybe the top of the world. I know that any time dad and I are able to get together and hike and share views like this, I definitely feel "on top of the world!"
